Matthew 26:40-41
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
God created relationships to make things easier.
Every relationship in your life is making something easier.
1 Corinthians 5:6-7
Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
We must always be on guard against weakness to sin that is in us all.
No one is so saved that evil is not present within them.
We overcome our sinful nature by the Word of God and the blood of Jesus.
Speak the Word of God when you are tempted.
2 Corinthians 10
There is not a more powerful position for you to be in than to be declaring the Word of God in the authority of the name of Jesus.
The name of Jesus will give you victory.
Know where you are weak and be watchful that you don’t let the enemy in that area.
1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Don’t hide your weakness, but at the same time do not share your weaknesses with everyone.
James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Proverbs 2:10-20
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man , from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. That thou mayest walk in the way of good men , and keep the paths of the righteous.
You will never change what you are content to ignore.
Proverbs 24:16
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Don’t allow your weakness to become your focus.
