Galatians 3:13-14
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

There are some things that we have inherited that we don’t want to pass on to our children.
We are redeemed from the curse!

Psalms 107:2 – Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

God is calling us to choose life.

What are blessings and what are curses?
Deuteronomy 28:1‭-‬8‭, ‬11‭-‬12‭, ‬15‭-‬19
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

Blessing and curses affect every area of our lives as outlined in these verses.

To be redeemed from curses, you have to know they exist. There are generational cycles of addiction, disease, divorce, etc.

Deuteronomy 11:26‭-‬27
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

Romans 10:8-17
Verse 8: The word of faith has to be in our heart and our mouth for faith to be operable.
Verses 8-17: The process of faith: How can I confess what I don’t believe, how can I believe what I have not heard? Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, faith is deposited as we hear His Word.

There is a marriage between your mouth and your heart. When you speak, your mouth didn’t come up with that, your heart did. The tongue is just a muscle, it doesn’t think, it just utters what is thought.
Redemption doesn’t come from your mouth, it comes from your heart.

Start speaking blessing over your children and over anything that the Lord has given you stewardship over.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

You may be struggling with life and death in your mind but once you say it, you’ve made a decision. Tap into the power of God and stop worrying about what’s happening around you!

The default nature of the tongue is that it is untamed and full of deadly poison.

James 3:3
Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.

James 3:5‭, ‬8‭-‬12
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.  Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.  Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?  Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:7
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

We have the power of choice and can imagine a thing and call it to be!
Don’t say you are redeemed and then speak curses.

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

I have been blessed, anointed, endowed by God. Blessing is supernatural, it is spiritual and good things happen as a result of the blessing.
You can not revoke the Lord’s blessing.

Numbers 23 teaches us that no man can curse whom the Lord has blessed.

Romans 10:8

Genesis 12:1‭-‬3
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Galatians 3:13‭-‬14‭, ‬26‭-‬29
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Start speaking in line with your redemption.
