Honor: Vol. 3 -P.3 (11.6.16)

Psalm 149:4-9
[4] For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. [5] Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. [6] Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; [7] To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; [8] To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; [9] To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord .

There is not a more powerful position for anyone to be in than that of a born again believer declaring the Word of God in the authority of the name of Jesus.

We can’t allow the narrative of the world to control the conversation of the church.

Amos 3:6-7
[6] Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it ? [7] Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Numbers 23:19…
Ps 89:34
John 15:7-8

God will always have what He says!

1 Samuel 10…prophesy with the prophets

We should be taking what God has said and declare it.

Joshua 6:1-2
[1] Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. [2] And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

Faith has to operate in these three areas:
Hear
Meditate
Confess

Hear what God said
Meditate on what God said
Say what God said
Act on what God said
God will do what He said

Joshua 6:3-4
[3] And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. [4] And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

Let what God has said become a reality in my heart…meditate on it!

Joshua 6:26-27
[26] And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord , that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. [27] So the Lord was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.

1 Kings 16:34
[34] In his days did Hiel the Beth-elite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord , which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.

There is always a consequence when we go against what God said.

1 Kings 17:1
[1] And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

Deuteronomy 11:16-17
[16] Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; [17] And then the Lord’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.

Take the unpopular position of declaring the Word of God.

James 5:17
[17] Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
