Habakkuk 2:1-4
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Wait is active, not passive. You can’t write the vision if you don’t have one. Vision is vital our lives. The Word of God should be the source of your vision.

If you write (communicate) the vision effectively then others can run with it.

Biblically, to “wait” means to bind by twisting; to get your stuff together. It is preparing for what you’re expecting. When we wait right, it allows others to look at us and deduce by our actions that we are expecting something to happen.

There are three things that come with, or go hand-in-hand with write:
– Communication
– Relationships
– Unity

The enemy to vision is division. God will provide provision to advance a vision He has given.

Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

The vision you have needs to come from God’s Word.

To “perish” means to cast off restraint.

Vision produces discipline. But if you have no vision, you’ll give up. God uses vision and hope in His Word to make us disciples.

You can’t use your history as an excuse to not make a decision for your future. With God, your history does not define your destiny. If you always hold on to your past, you’ll never move forward.

Don’t allow your mind to dictate your future by being negative. Choose to cast down negative thoughts and believe what the Word says. Use it to develop a vision for your future. God will use your expectation as a platform to do exceedingly and abundantly above.

Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Elevate your vision.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hope= vision.

People that have no hope will not see the need for faith.

God’s Word promises that we do have that which we can’t see.

You have to stay focused on the Word until the vision in you becomes bigger than the thing you’re facing in life.

Romans 8:24-25
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

We have to keep hope alive while we wait. People without hope won’t have the discipline to wait.

Proverbs 3:3
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

Your heart is the tablet. What you say with your mouth is how you write on your heart. What others say also writes on your heart.

Don’t listen to people who say things you don’t want written on your heart. Separate yourself from those who speak discouragement and defeat.

Allow God’s Word to write on your heart because your life will complete the image you have of yourself .
