The Power To Be Still: P.3 (10.29.17)

Psalm 46:10
[10] Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

God will remove the things that cause anxiety and fear because He wants you to be able to rest.

Genesis 3:8…God wants relationship

The end result of sin is separation from the presence of God.

Our busyness can separate us from the presence of God.

The health of your life is based on the health of your relationships.

Psalm 138:8

Psalm 23:1-6
[1] The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. [3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. [5] Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Restoration for your soul is found in rest.

Impatience is the enemy to excellence.

God wants to always equip you with truth before the enemy gives you a lie.

You get to know God through a relationship.

If you don’t have time to benefit from the relationship you will be insecure in that relationship.

The valley should not be where we get to know God.

Being busy does not mean you are productive.

Mark 2:27…sabbath was made for man

Are we being still long enough to be in the presence of God?

Isaiah 30:15-16
[15] For thus saith the Lord God , the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. [16] But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
