Kingdom Authority: Pt. 6 (11.20.19)

By November 26, 2019 No Comments

“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
Luke 14:23

It’s time to Go out and come in, in Kingdom authority. If we don’t go out right there is no advancement of the Kingdom of God and the lost remain lost.

We can’t just go to church, we must live out church. Church is not a building, it is an assembly of people.

“In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.”
1 Kings 3:5-7,9-13

The Lord asked Solomon what he would like Him to give him.

Solomon had been given a kingdom but he didn’t know how to run it.

At some point we all need to humble ourselves and act like we don’t know anything so that we can receive something.

We should be beggars in spirit.

Solomon’s humility and posture in his prayer is what set him up to have an answered prayer. He asks for an understanding heart.

An understanding heart is a hearing heart. Along with a hearing heart, we need God to speak to us.

Understanding is comprehension to the point of application.

God can work with a man who will obey him.

Blessed are the beggars in spirit.

Never open the word of God without praying first and asking for understanding.

Hearing, meditating, confessing and acting out on His word, is active faith.

Going out and coming in, according to the Word, is having an understanding hearing heart.

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.”
Deuteronomy 28:1-7

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

Jesus teaches us to pray the word. “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” John 15:7-8

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” Psalms 89:34

The only way to have faith filled prayers is to have Word filled prayers.

If we would listen to God’s voice and be led, we could walk into even a hostile environment and take over.

“And Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him, and was departed from Saul. Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people. And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him. Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him. But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.’As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.”
Joshua 14:11

Saul was afraid of David because the Lord was with him.

Are you going out and coming in in such a way that you would be able to get someone to go to bible study with you or would they be shocked.

David established himself in victory when he told Goliath of the victories that God had given him.

He operated in the spirit of victory no matter what territory he was in.

“As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.”
Joshua 14:11

Saul was afraid of David because the Lord was with him.

Are you going out and coming in in such a way that you would be able to get someone to go to bible study with you or would they be shocked that you go to church.

David established himself in victory when he told Goliath of the victories that God had brought him.

He operated in the spirit of victory no matter what territory he was in.

“And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord : at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”
Numbers 27:21

You cannot go out and come in but steal.

You cannot go out and come in but lie. That’s not doing it by the book.

“Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.”
2 Chronicles 1:10,12

A good example of our need to hear God’s voice is in 2 Samuel 11:1. When all the kings and men went out to war, David tarried and stayed home. If he had not been home, he wouldn’t have been there to see Bath-sheba.

What if we didn’t leave Jesus at home when we went out. What if we declared Deuteronomy 28:6 over our job search or grocery trip.

Can we go out and come in to point that others are drawn and compelled to come in too?
