I Have Decided- P.3 (1.8.17)

James 1:5-8
[5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. [6] But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. [8] A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

A double minded man will make excuses so that he doesn’t have to make a decision.

Proverbs 4:7…wisdom is the principle thing

The Word of God is the source of faith.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

True faith means you have heard the Word as it relates to your situation. And that Word gives you something to stand on.

When you’ve made a decision in faith, you should have a promise from the Word of God that you are standing on.

Without hearing the Word of God it is impossible to please God.

Mark 4…We should treat God’s Word, and faith, like seed

You can’t have more of something you are not planting.

There is no increase of faith when there isn’t an increase of the Word of God.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 6:12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

It is through faith and patience that we inherit what God has promised. He doesn’t recompense faith without patience. But if we truly made a faith based decision, we can rest easy knowing that God will always have what He said.

Romans 10:8-11,14-17
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! [16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

God has given us the power to choose, but not the power over the consequence of our choice. You choose by what you say. What you say is your decision! Your actions should line up with your confession.

A true faith based decision will have alignment of the heart, mouth and actions.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

You choose by what you say. Everything you say is a choice. When you don’t speak right you won’t act right.

The beginning of faith is a decision to hear Gods Word. The last place on that road is expectation. Your decision sets up your expectation.

Stop letting the world tell you what you are going to have.

We have favor with God and man. Make a decision to walk in the promise of God and expect it to manifest in your life.

Wether you realize it or not, you are always preparing for what you expect! Your decision sets your expectation.

There is power in a decision! Indecisive people don’t know what to expect because they haven’t made a decision.

You don’t have the right to expect what you did not choose.

Your decisions long for support, but only faith based decisions get support from God.

Luke 14:16-20
[16] Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: [17] And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. [18] And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. [19] And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. [20] And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

Align your mind, words and methods with the Word of God.

What has God prepared for you that you could be missing out on because you haven’t made a decision?

Make a decision to receive what God has called you to walk in.
