Hebrews 10:36
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

We have become accustomed to immediate gratification. Many will do the right thing once and when they don’t see immediate results, they give up.

Once you have done the will of God, you need to apply patience. Don’t give up when you don’t get immediate results.

Patience is not waiting. Its continuing to do the right thing until the results manifest.

Biblical patience is hopeful endurance; to be constant.

Apply patience to doing the will of God. The will of God is the Word of God.

Hebrews 6:11-12
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

When your faith is being tested, you need to put patience to work.

Keep applying the principles of God until you receive the promises in His Word.

Patience is the application of God’s Will and Word until you receive His promises.

James 1:3-4
Knowing this , that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Nothing tests your faith like time.

One of two things happens on the other side of patience: you either get what you want, or you don’t want it anymore.

The process and trial of patience with faith will do a work in you.

Don’t apply the force of patience to the wrong thing. That’s called stubbornness.

There has to be a process and action that you are applying your patience to.

You don’t have a right to expect something you haven’t applied patience to.

Find a process that that is in-line with the Word and apply patience to it.

Romans 8:24-25
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it .

Adding patience to your wait means that there are actions that you consistently apply.

Luke 21:19
In your patience possess ye your souls.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
