Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Ephesians 1:3 says that through Christ we have received every spiritual blessing.

The blessing of the Lord is a spiritual endowment that makes things happen. The blessing of God is a force and a power that is available to our lives.

rich“- in proverbs 10:22 is not limited to just finances. It speaks of an abundance of things.

Know that we are not blessed because we are fruitful. We are fruitful because we are blessed. The blessing is on the front end of things, and it’s the reason why things happen that we would call “a blessing.”

Galatians 3 shows a direct connection between the covenant of Abraham and who we are in Jesus:

Galatians 3: 7-9, 28-29
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham…There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Since we are heirs, we need to know what we are heirs to. That way we’ll know what to expect from God.

Anyone who is in Christ, all nations and all nationalities are in the same covenant that God made with Abraham. Prejudice and racism are not of God. They are a curse, and Jesus came to break that curse so that we could overcome what has separated us.

The cross points both vertically and horizontally. You can’t have a vertical relationship with God and it not affect your horizontal relationships with others. We must love God and love our neighbor as ourself.

Don’t name Christ but walk in racism and hate because Jesus said , “by this will all men know that you’re my disciples, that you love one another” (John 13:35). He also said that a house divided will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

Genesis 12:1-3
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

The earthly seed of Abraham is the nation of Israel. If you want to be blessed, bless Israel. If you want to be cursed, curse Israel. Support and elect leaders who support Israel.

The heavenly seed is the church. We are under the same inheritance and blessing that is on the natural seed of Israel.

Genesis 1:27-28
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

We can be “fruitful” because we are blessed by God. When God blessed man, He gave man dominion over what came out of the earth.

Genesis 3:17
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.
‭‭
Now, after sin, the ground is now cursed. Remember proverbs 10:22, which says that the blessing of the Lord makes rich but adds no sorrow with it.

The blessing of God is available to break every curse since the fall of man! Has life ever given you sorrow? That’s all the result of the sin curse. God wants to bring us out from under that!

When God blessed Abraham, he told him he would have a son, an heir, Isaac. Abraham got the “I’m going to help God out” syndrome and ended up with Ishmael, who was not the heir. Ishmael ended up having to be cast out Bc he was harassing Isaac. There has been warfare between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael ever since.  9/11 happened because of the war between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael.

In Genesis 25, Before Abraham died, he gave Isaac all that he had. He also gave all the sons of Ishmael gifts. How did he have anything left over to give Ishmael? Abraham gave Isaac his blessing (all that he had) and he gave Ishmael his stuff. The stuff comes as a manifestation of the blessing!

An analogy… you can give a man all the gold you have, but if you give him your blessing, thats the source of the gold.

The blessing of God is the source of all things!!! His blessing will enrich your life no matter what the state of things are like around you.
