Matthew 6:9-10
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Step 1: God’s Word is His will
Step 2: Godly counsel will confirm God’s will

It is important to have a safe circle of influence in your life. Your circle of influence should make living for God easier, and not living for Him harder.

Life moves at the speed of relationship – Pastor Jeremiah Woods

Relationships are like a river that take you places throughout your life.

Proverbs 11:14
Where no counsel is , the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Proverbs 24:6
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

If you want to be safe in a decision or direction, get Godly counsel.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Meekness is not weakness. Its power under control.

It takes meekness to give counsel and receive counsel.

True counsel, thats given by God, is an anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 11:2
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord ;

Isaiah 10:27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

The anointing is the burden removing yoke destroying power of God.

Godly counsel removes burdens and destroys yokes.

Weaknesses attract relationships that will allow the weakness to grow.

2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Not all counsel is from God. Test the counsel you get by weighing it against the Word. Also, inspect the fruits of the person who gives it. How has the advice they are giving worked out for them in their life?

Isaiah 8:19-20
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
