The Power To Be Healed: P.1 (9.3.17)

God’s Power is a demonstration of His love.

Romans 10:8-17
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! [16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Isaiah 53:1
[1] Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

The arm of the Lord is revealed to them that believe His report. However, you cannot believe what you have not heard.

Isaiah 53:4-5
[4] Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Spiritually, mentally and physically- we should receive what God has said in His Word about every facet of life.

Choose to believe the report of the Lord.

Exodus 15:26
[26] And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

Jehovah Rapha -the covenant name of the Lord, means “the Lord our healer”.

2 Corinthians 1:20…all the promises of God are yay and amen

Don’t be led by your flesh, but be led by the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 103:1-6
[1] Bless the Lord , O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. [2] Bless the Lord , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; [4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; [5] Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. [6] The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

Forgiveness is always greater than physical healing.

Psalm 107:20
[20] He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Hebrews 2:1-3
[1] Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. [2] For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; [3] How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him ;
