The Anatomy of the Anointing: Pt. 5 (4.10.19)

Spirit of the Lord | Wisdom |Understanding
Counsel | Might | Knowledge | Fear of the Lord

There are seven anointings listed in scripture that we can receive from the Holy Spirit. Today our focus is on Wisdom.

Isaiah 10:27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

This is a prophecy that was spoken of Jesus.

Isaiah 11:2
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

Wisdom is essential, the necessary thing but any one or combination of these anointings will remove burdens and destroy yokes.

An interesting study to do when you have time is a word study of the anointings and see how many times they show up together in scripture.

James 1:5 shows us that wisdom is available for the asking!

Proverbs 4:1,7
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

God’s Word is THE source of wisdom.

Proverbs 4:5
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Luke 11:49
Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

Luke 21:15
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Wisdom is associated with what is said. Often times in scripture, you will notice the mention of wisdom followed by some sort of description that references one talking or hearing what has been said.

Proverbs 4:5‭-‬10
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

Proverbs 8:10‭-‬21
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
Proverbs 8:14 is referring to Jesus. The seven anointings operate through him.

There is something God wants to do in us and through us, that we need wisdom to be able to accomplish.

If you can’t apply what you are hearing, you do not have understanding.

Solomon is an example of what wisdom can do in your life.

1 Kings 3:5‭-‬13
In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

1 Kings 10:1‭-‬10
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord , she came to prove him with hard questions. And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not. And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon’s wisdom, and the house that he had built, And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the Lord ; there was no more spirit in her. And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom. Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard. Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom. Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice. And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

Queen Sheba was going to impress him. One might ask, why would she sow her riches into the wealthiest man in the world? Its because you sow up and give down! She wanted what he had, wisdom, so she sowed into him.

Prosperity is a word that refers to wholeness. Financial wellness is just a result of wholeness. When the wisdom of God is operating in my life, it will cause me to prosper.

1 Kings 10:23
So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.

Think about trying to build a toy solely from the picture versus reading the instruction booklet. If you do what the book says you get what the picture shows. The same is true for having wisdom and wholeness added to your life. When you do what the book (the Bible) says do then you get what the picture (vision) shows.

In the old testament Moses had all the materials, he had a blue print, he had seen a picture but had to have wise-hearted people to bring to manifestation.

Exodus 28:3
And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

Exodus 31:3
And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in cutting of stones, to set them , and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

What would happen if the body of Christ tapped wisdom?
God was trying to build in the earth what was already in heaven. For what is in heaven to manifest in the earth, there has to be wisdom.

Exodus 35:31‭, ‬35
And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

Exodus 36:1‭-2
Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded. And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:

God can take whatever you are skilled at and give you wisdom to do it better.

James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Upbraideth means that God won’t hold past things against you. He won’t say “Oh now you ask me for wisdom!” He will give it to you liberally if you ask Him for it.

A wise man hears and obeys the Lord.
